Profender Allwormer is a topical "spot-on" deworming treatment for cats. It is the first topical solution designed to treat and control a broad spectrum of intestinal worms, providing an alternative to oral tablets.

Key Benefits & Use

  • Topical Application: Applied directly to the skin at the back of the neck, eliminating the stress of "pilling" a cat.
  • Fast Acting: Active ingredients are absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and reach the intestines to kill worms.
  • Frequency: Typically applied as a single dose; for maintenance, many veterinarians recommend treatment every 3 months.

 

Safety & Precautions

  • Prevent Licking: Do not allow the cat or other pets to lick the application site for at least one hour (some sources recommend 24 hours) as oral exposure can cause salivation and vomiting.
  • Human Safety: Children should not contact the application site for 24 hours. Pregnant women should wear gloves during application.
  • Common Side Effects: Rare, but may include temporary hair loss, redness, or scratching at the site, and lethargy. 
  • Remove Profender from packaging. Hold the tube straight up and give cap one twist to break the seal
  • Part cat’s hair between shoulder blades. Place applicator tip just above the skin and squeeze. Apply entire contents of applicator in a single spot directly onto cat’s skin. Do not apply on top of hair coat
  • Avoid contact with treated area until dry
  • Do not take a bath for two days before and after application
  • Apply once every 90 days. Do not reapply within 90 days

We recommend weighing your cat before apply Profender Spot-On Allwormer if they are approaching the limit between different dosages. Not recommended for kittens less than 9 weeks of age because safety has not been established.
