Key Uses and Benefits
Vets often prescribe Vivitonin to manage symptoms commonly associated with aging when no other specific cause is found:

  • Improves dullness, lethargy, and overall "brightened" spirit.
  • Increases a dog's willingness and physical ability to exercise.
  • Enhances oxygen delivery to the brain, which can help with age-related senility or cognitive dysfunction.
  • Acts as a bronchodilator (opening airways) and can improve breathing in older dogs.
  • May help slow the development of hearing and sight defects, such as cataracts, in aging pets.

Safety and Precautions

  • Common Side Effects: Side effects are rare but can include vomiting (usually only at the start of treatment), diarrhea, or mild restlessness.
  • Do not use in pregnant bitches or breeding animals, as its safety for these groups has not been established.
  • Avoid concurrent use with other xanthine derivatives (like theophylline) or pimobendan unless specifically directed by your vet.
  • Special Considerations: Use with caution and vet supervision in dogs with kidney disease, heart failure, or bronchial disease.
  • Please consult with your veterinarian for medication dosage
