Dechra Lubrithal Eye Gel is a veterinary-grade ophthalmic lubricant specifically designed to soothe and hydrate the eyes of dogs and cats. Unlike standard drops that provide only brief moisture, this carbomer-based gel mimics natural tear viscosity to provide long-lasting protection and stabilize the tear film.

  • Dry Eye Relief: Manages symptoms of Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS) or chronic dry eye.
  • Long-Lasting Hydration: The carbomer formula clings to the eye surface, retaining moisture for much longer than liquid drops.

  • Anaesthesia Support: Frequently used to prevent eye dehydration during surgical procedures under general anaesthesia.
  • Safe for Long-Term Use: It is non-medicated, steroid-free, and has a pH balance (7.4–7.9) close to natural pet tears.

 

Important Product Details

  • Frequency: Apply 1–2 times daily or as often as directed by your veterinarian.
  • Storage: Store at room temperature (below 25°C) and use within one month of opening.
  • Compatibility: Can be used alongside other eye medications.
  • Composition: Contains Water, Sorbitol, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Cetrimide, and Disodium EDTA. 
  1. Preparation: Wash your hands and ensure the pet is calm.
  2. Application: Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
  3. Dosage: Squeeze 1–2 drops (about the size of a grain of rice) into the eye.
  4. Safety: Do not touch the applicator tip to the eye or any other surface to avoid contamination.
  5. Distribution: Allow the pet to blink to spread the gel evenly across the surface.
